Yoga for Weight Loss
So right, I am not going into Patanjali’s treatises on yoga written more than 3000 years ago, because I am definitely not a rishi nor a siddha. I am just looking for the easiest way in which I can lose weight through yoga. First of all, remember that yoga means self-control. So it is not going to be of any use you blaming yoga as being totally ineffective because here you are exercising regularly for about 40 min. every day, and then going to the fridge and filling yourself up with chocolate eclairs and French Fries.
Yoga exercises to lose weight are going to consist of a number of postures which need to be done, one after another. You can consider them to be a cardiovascular workout which is going to be using every single muscle in your body. So after you have checked up from your doctor, especially if you are above the age of 40, and he gives you the go-ahead to start a yoga exercise routine for weight loss, start with the bikrama yoga exercise routine. Not only is this a really tough calorie burning exercise routine, but you will have to do 26 yoga poses. You do not have to do them every single day. Do them on intervals of three days each.
These yoga poses consist of the beginning of the suryanamaskara (greeting the sun exercise). The beginning of the second video shows the Cobra pose. Any yoga exercise done regularly is going to help you lose weight. You may also go in for another weight loss yoga exercise program called the Ashtanga Yoga. This yoga exercise routine, can be considered to be the use of eight limbs to twist, stretch, turn, elongate, and exercise other parts of the body while breathing deeply.

So if you are looking for a healthy body, mind and soul, try these gentle yoga exercise routines. Do not over exert your body. Eat a diet with low fats and more of organically grown vegetables and fruits.
Yoga poses for losing weight need to be done early in the morning, on an empty stomach. My favorite version of suryanamaskara includes lying down on the ground on the stomach, raising up your head slowly, stretching the spinal cord and then raising your body on your hands, to a count of five, and then slowly and steadily bending your knees so that they touch the stomach (count of five) and then going back into the lying down on the ground pose again is a sure fire method to get rid of that beer belly and thunder thighs.
This exercise routine is also great for giving me a rip roaring appetite for fresh fruit juice and porridge, with honey and chunks of fruit. You better believe it, guys and gals, yoga exercises done gently do not need thousands of dollars worth of equipment. You can go through any exercise routine you wish and you are going to see a change in your physical shape. That means your metabolic system has really revved up! Try out these exercises right now!
